The Concert

The regular audience of "Klassik unter Sternen" has long appreciated the special charm and flair of the event: the almost mystical surroundings of Göttweig Abbey, high above the Danube, form the backdrop for the beautifully illuminated open-air stage. In addition, a program with a mix of classical opera arias and well-known international songs, which has much to offer both experienced opera fans, as well as beginners.

For Elīna Garanča, this concert evening is something very special year after year: the interplay between the spiritual location, the enthusiastic audience and the atmospheric music makes the evening an unforgettable experience for artists and audience alike.

For many years, Elīna Garanča and Karel Mark Chichon have performed together with young, up-and-coming opera talents at their open-air concerts. Not infrequently, these performances were followed by the beginning of an international career.
